FAQs
How does PRP Therapy work?
PRP stands for Platelets Rich Plasma, this defines a high concentration of blood platelets in a small volume of plasma.
Platelets (blood cells) are powerful little cells that contain great things, including the growth factors that promote healing and regeneration. With PRP we deliver a concentrated dose of your own platelets back into your skin. We extract a small amount of your blood (hence the vampire facelift nickname), alter the balance of platelets to plasma and gently inject this back into your skin, where you wish to see improvement of your complexion.
What are the benefits of PRP Therapy?
The Ageing Process damages your skins layers and decreases you levels of Collagen, Elastin, skin fatty layers, extra cellular matrix and your total number of cells. This leads to changes in skin texture, firmness, radiance, volume, flexibility and wrinkle formation.
Your PRP therapy (or vampire facelift) gives measurable improvement of skin complexion, tone, texture and colour, visible changes will be noticeable in 3 – 4 weeks (especially forehead, cheeks, neck and backs of hands).
PRP is not a filler it is your own enriched plasma.
PRP augments your skin by enhancing growth and collagen levels.
One – off treatment brings negligible down time and noticeable results but cut to the on-going process of ageing subsequent treatments are recommended.
Currently, only Plasma rich in growth factors allow for the stimulation of the cell healing process in many different tissues in your body.
